This year’s University of Indonesia (UI) Green Metric World University Ranking has put 19 Pakistani universities in the top 500.
According to the university’s rankings from 2010, sustainability activities on campus are evaluated and compared. This year’s competition had 912 universities from 84 countries, including 51 from Pakistan. Only 19 institutions of higher learning reached the top 500 list.

The Multan’s Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture, followed by the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), has the country’s greenest campus, according to the UI’s Green Metric. Overall, the two campuses are ranked 154th and 179th.
The Faisalabad University and the Iqra University are ranked 341st and 353rd, respectively, in the world.
