By the time of his letter, Dr. Asad had already been appointed to the position for the next year, in December 2021. With his salary, the provincial government gave him an official car, free petrol and also a driver.

He’s in the office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s been revealed that he’s spent just three to four hours a day since his appointment completing the daily routine official tasks.

The quantity of official labour required of DG PHOTA, according to Dr. Asad’s argument, does not justify the monthly income and benefits he currently receives.

The letter stated that his existing monthly income should be cut from Rs. 10 lacs to Rs. 5 lacs immediately.

Dr. Asad Aslam’s predecessor as DG PHOTA received a monthly remuneration of Rs. 13 lacs, which is a significant difference. Dr. Asad’s compensation was initially set at Rs. 10 lacs per month when he was appointed, but he later requested a reduction.

His monthly remuneration has been established at Rs. 10 million per month by the provincial health department at his request. Once again, Dr. Asad has asked the Health Department to reduce his pay.
