Last month, WhatsApp stated that it was developing Message Reactions and 2GB File Sharing. Since then, the company has been testing the features and has now begun rolling out the stable release.
Whatsapp Update – 2 GB File Sharing and Messages Reactions
Users of WhatsApp are only permitted to share files and media up to 100MB in size. Users will be able to share larger files, such as HD videos, after the most recent update.
Additionally, Message Reactions have already debuted in certain regions. The messaging platform revealed that users will initially have access to a limited selection of emojis, but will gain support for “all emojis and skin tones” in the future. Among the currently supported six emojis is the emoji.

With the most recent update, WhatsApp Groups can now accommodate twice as many participants (512users per group). WhatsApp has also increased the number of participants on its group calls, which can now accommodate up to 32 people. This feature is exclusive to the mobile version.
WhatsApp also intends to introduce the ‘Companion device’ feature, which will enable users to access a single WhatsApp account on multiple smartphones or tablets.
