PM Imran Khan Constitutes Task Force

Prime Minister Imran Khan Constitutes Task Force on Technology-Driven Knowledge Economy today.  In order to constantly re-evaluate national priorities, Task Force will carry out Foresight exercises at regular intervals. The other purpose of this Task Force is to place strategies and action plans, with described timelines, to build a powerful knowledge economy.

The Task Force committee will comprise of leading scientists/engineers, representatives from the private sector, federal and provincial governments. PM Imran Khan Constitutes Task Force today in a meeting with Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman at Prime Minister’s Office.

In the meeting, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman briefly explained the progress on construction of Pak Austrian Fachhochschule, Haripur. He also notified the PM Imran Khan about progress into establishment of Centre of Excellence with help of China in Mineral Resources Engineering, Railway Engineering, and Agriculture Food Technologies.

The PM said that building intellectual capital of the country, industrialization and development of human capital, enhancement of value-added produce along with quality management for optimization of productivity are among the foremost priorities of the government. All these priorities will prove to be the great potential of the country.

We hope that this step will help to improve the Technology Driven Knowledge Economy.

Today, SigveBrekke, President and CEO of Telenor Group, along with Irfan Wahab Khan, CEO of Telenor Pakistan and Petter-Børre Furberg, Executive Vice President Telenor Group also met PM Imran Khan to discuss the growing and evolving digital ecosystem in the country and Telenor Group’s longstanding commitment to the country.
