Irish Club to Train Pakistani Footballers Under Supervision of Michael Owen

The vision of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to foster and develop football among Pakistan’s youth through the Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive Program, overseen by Special Assistant to Prime Minister Usman Dar, can now be realized thanks to an exciting partnership between GSV and Irish Premier Division club St Patrick’s Athletic FC.

Under the watchful eye of Michael Owen, the St Patrick’s Athletic UEFA Pro licensed coaching staff will begin the nationwide coaching and Kamyab Jawan Football talent hunt program in Pakistan. With the help of St. Pat’s UEFA Pro license crew, the road journey gets underway. Pakistan’s coaching staff will benefit from the training sessions aimed at enhancing their knowledge of the sport.

It will begin by looking for talent in ten cities in Pakistan, including Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Quetta, and Karachi. After that, up to 20 players will be selected to go to Dublin, Ireland, to train and play with the St. Patrick’s Athletic Academy and First Team.
