Veteran actress and Kya Drama Hai judge Marina Khan didn’t hold back, calling out the latest episodes of Humrahi for their illogical and repetitive storyline.
The latest episode of Kya Drama Hai, the popular Pakistani television review show, saw veteran actress Marina Khan deliver a scathing critique of the drama series Humrahi. Known for her candid and often blunt assessments, Khan expressed her dismay over what she termed the “idiotic” and repetitive nature of the show’s recent installments, particularly targeting writer Zanjabeel Asim Shah‘s script.

Marina Khan, an icon of Pakistani television, has graced screens for decades, captivating audiences with her timeless performances in classic dramas like Tanhaiyaan and Dhoop Kinare. Today, she brings her unparalleled experience and discerning eye to the judging panel of Kya Drama Hai, alongside fellow ace actresses like Nadia Khan and Atiqa Odho. Her presence on the show is a testament to her enduring influence and commitment to upholding quality in Pakistani entertainment. Fans can follow her journey and insights on her official Instagram: Marina Khan.

During her critique, Marina Khan minced no words, stating, “Humrahi was repetitive. It was a repeat of scenes and dialogues — the father threatening people to get that heart from somewhere was just a repeated sequence. Then, the conversation between the two doctors was so idiotic and childish. I just couldn’t understand who could write such a stupid script. If it is written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah, then I am sorry, but it doesn’t seem to be written by you Zanjabeel. I found it absolutely repetitive — the father convincing the girl to marry him, her refusing to marry him, and two episodes showing the same scenes. Then this stupid guy is going mad because the girl is not marrying him.” Her comments highlighted a perceived lack of originality and logical progression in the storyline, leaving viewers and critics alike pondering the direction of the popular series.

Khan’s sharp observations have certainly stirred the pot, sparking a fresh debate among drama enthusiasts about the quality of contemporary Pakistani scripts. Will her critique prompt a re-evaluation from the creators of Humrahi, or will audiences continue to witness storylines that leave them questioning the narrative choices? Only time will tell how this candid review impacts the show’s trajectory.
