A pre-wedding Mehndi event hosted by viral creator Mr Patloo in Sialkot ended in tragedy following a massive crowd surge.
A celebratory gathering turned into a tragedy on Daska Road in Sialkot when a severe stampede broke out during a Mehndi ceremony hosted for internet personality Muhammad Ansar Jutt, known online as Mr. Patloo. The event, held near the local stadium, drew a massive crowd after organizers announced a live lucky draw featuring a free motorcycle giveaway. The overwhelming turnout caused chaos at the venue, leaving approximately 14 people injured and resulting in one casualty. Consequently, the family cancelled all remaining wedding festivities.

Rising to fame through his entertaining live streams on digital platforms, Mr Patloo built a massive fanbase of 2.5 million followers. His humorous chats with international users helped him transition from a local internet content creator to a recognizable name across Pakistan. His upcoming wedding had generated immense interest among local fans, prompting a large crowd from surrounding districts to attend the pre-wedding function.

Witnesses reported that the venue lacked adequate crowd control mechanisms to handle the thousands of attendees who gathered for the advertised motorcycle raffle. Emergency services arrived shortly after the commotion to transport the injured to nearby medical facilities. Following the incident, social media platforms erupted with intense debate, with critics targeting the lack of management and expressing concern over how public giveaways are organized in densely populated areas.

The tragic outcome of this pre-wedding event has sparked broader discussions regarding safety protocols for influencer-hosted public gatherings in Pakistan. Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the venue’s security permissions, leaving fans and spectators mourning the tragic turn of events.
