Renowned Pakistani television host and former actor Sahir Lodhi is currently under investigation following the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against him. The legal action stems from a complaint filed by his business partner, Naghma Gul, who alleges financial fraud involving bounced cheques. According to court documents, Naghma Gul, a widow residing in Landhi, approached the court alleging that Sahir Lodhi had issued her eight cheques that subsequently bounced due to insufficient funds. She claims to have invested Rs. 4 million with Lodhi for investment purposes, based on the suggestion of an acquaintance. Gul further stated that she initially received Rs. 250,000 and Rs. 400,000 as profits, but subsequent cheques for the principal investment failed to clear. An FIR has been registered against Lodhi under Section 489-F of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), pertaining to dishonestly issuing a dishonoured cheque, along with Section 34, which addresses common intention.
