Last week, the makers of Mahira Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Superstar’ dropped an item number featuring Bilal Ashraf and Kubra Khan and it made waves on the internet.

As soon as the video was released, netizens started to compare the latest song with Ranveer Singh’s Tattad Tattad while saying that it was copied from Bollywood.

While talking to Express Tribune, the Janaan actor finally talked about the debate and said that the song was inspired by all the songs like Ranveer Singh’s Tattad Tattad.

He said:

Oh 2000%! It was definitely inspired by him,” he shared. “It is basically inspired by all the songs like Tattad Tattad. When I read the comparison with Ranveer, I was like ’brilliant!’. I was hoping to portray that and I think it was conveyed in the same manner. I’m not playing Sameer Khan in that song. The song was supposed to be as outrageous as Malhari or any other Ranveer song.

He also said:

It’s a character in a character. So, Dharak Bharak was supposed to be portrayed Sameer as this extremely flamboyant, chichora boy, if I may say. So all that came with the package.

Composed by Azaan Sami Khan, the upcoming movie is helmed by Udaari-famed Ehtishamuddin and will be produced by Momina Duraid.
