Actor Faisal Qureshi’s return to TV in 2020 was smoky. He devoted most of 2019 to the English film ‘The Window’ and his personal film ‘Sorry’. But in 2020, he surprised everyone by acting in not one but two big dramas.
Whether it’s Geo TV’s ‘Muqaddar’ or ARY Digital’s ‘Log Kia Kahy Gay’, his performances in both the dramas were well received. While in ‘Muqaddar’ he forcibly marries an RJ and makes her his wife, in ‘Log Kia Kahy Gay’ he takes his late friend’s family under his care.

In the year 2020, two dramas of young actor Ahad Raza Mir became the adornment of TV, which include ‘Ahd-e-Wafa’ and ‘Yeh Dil Meera’.
In ‘Ahad-e-Wafa’, he played the role of an army officer who had a lot of fun with his friends during his college days but after joining the army, he became a true soldier of the country.
In order to fulfill this role, he not only trained with the soldiers but also excelled in this role. In ‘Yeh Dil Meera’, Ahad played the role of a young man who marries the daughter of a killer to avenge the death of his parents. His performance in both the roles was commendable.

Sami Khan

Sami Khan, who acted in only two dramas in 2019, disappeared from the small screen after ‘Ishq Zahe Naseeb’ because he was shooting for ‘Gum’, ‘Rang Number Two’, ‘Kaf Kangna’ and ‘The Window’. But in 2020, he surprised his fans by working first in ‘Sarab’ and then in ‘Dulhan’.
In Hum TV’s ‘Sarab’, he plays a boy who loves his first cousin and when he finds out that he is mentally ill, he knowingly adopts him. But the problem is that his wife sees the real Asfandyar as well as an imaginary Asfandyar who says the same things to her that she wants to hear. This can be considered as the most difficult role of Sami Khan so far in terms of giving two different impressions in the same role.
His role in Hum TV’s ‘Dulhan’ is both negative and positive. He marries a girl to get his friend’s car and runs away on the first night. Later, when he realizes his mistake, he is embarrassed, but to avoid further scandal, he remains silent until the same girl comes to work in his mother’s boutique.

Imran Ashraf

Imran Ashraf played the role of Bhola in 2018, Rehan Chaudhry in 2019 and eternal role of Adam in 2020 which were loved by fans. He also won the first Lux Style Award of his career and ended the year with Hum TV’s ‘Raqs Bismil’.
His only drama that aired this year was Hum TV’s Mushk, which he not only wrote but also played a central role in it. At the beginning of the play, his role is not very visible, but by the end, Adam is everywhere. Not only did he excel in the field of acting but his dialogues also reminded him of the classic days of PTV.

 Hamza Ali Abbasi

As in the past few years, in 2020, Hamza Ali Abbasi withdrew from acting. But after ‘Alif’ aired on Geo Entertainment, some people called it a publicity stunt and some called it really retirement. But by the end of 2020, he had withdrawn his retirement.
In ‘Alif’, he plays a boy whose grandfather and father separate themselves from the world, and when the grandfather asks his grandson to leave the film world, he too is forced to wonder what is right and what is wrong.

Bilal Abbas has excelled in this role. He also looks innocent and timid. But after gaining the trust of his mother, he enjoys his stepfather very much.

Sajal Ali

The year 2020 was the year of marriage of Ahad Raza Mir and Sajjal Ali. In 2020, he acted in two blockbuster dramas. In Hum TV’s ‘Yeh Dil Meera’, she played the role of a girl whose father brutally killed her husband’s parents. We all liked his performance in this TV drama.

Sonia Hussain

Sonia Hussain is one of the leading actresses in Pakistan. In 2020, she made everyone her addict by working in the TV drama ‘Sarab’.
In the play, she plays a girl who suffers from schizophrenia and whose family considers her a lunatic. Her acting contained all the things that are found in a mental patient: sudden hearing loss while sitting, talking to someone who doesn’t exist, and insisting on not taking medication. Her performance made many people aware of the disease.
Her second drama ‘Mohabbat Tejhe Alwaada’ was also aired on Hum TV at the beginning of which people criticized her performance but later it was also appreciated.

 Urwa Hussain, Maura Hussain

In terms of successful projects, 2020 was no less for the Hussain Sisters. If Urva Hussain made a comeback after three years on TV through Hum TV’s ‘Mushk’, then Maura also got acclaim by performing brilliantly in the same channel’s drama ‘Sabat’.
In ‘Musk’, Urwa is playing the role of a girl who cheats people and takes refuge in a mansion where no one can find her to escape the police. At the same time, she hates the owner of the house so much that she advises his daughter to run away from home.
On the other hand, Maura Hussain played the role of an educated and conscious girl who knows how to fight for her rights. On the one hand, her family is obsessed with her because of her virtues, on the other hand, her in-laws find these virtues to be flawed.
In these two dramas, while Urwa’s acting is filmic, Maura’s acting looks closer to reality.

Sara Khan

Sara Khan played the role of a spoiled princess Miral who wants her own will in everything at all costs.
Why did his brother marry a ‘street girl’, why did his father give the girl a place in the house and how can his brother give this girl superiority over his sister? No less than torment. That’s why she found a target killer to kill this girl before marriage. Then on the night of the wedding, she sets fire to his brother’s room and brokes his laptop when he disobeyed.

Finally, actress Sana Javed, whose ARY Digital drama ‘Ruswai’ has been the talk of the town for years. In the play, she plays a girl who has been raped and knocks on the court door to punish the perpetrators. Her family and in-laws are angry with her for this decision, but she forgets everything in her search for justice and fights for her case which she wins.
This was Sana Javed’s third major drama after ‘Khani’ and ‘Darr Khuda Se’ in which she raised her voice for women’s rights and that is why this drama proved to be one of the best dramas of the year.
