PakWheels co-founder Suneel Munj faces backlash after an alleged leaked call reveals rude behavior towards a digital media employee over podcast fees.
Pakistani businessman Suneel Munj, known for his automotive expertise and controversial antics, is once again in the spotlight. A recently leaked phone call, shared by FHM’s page, alleges Munj made disparaging remarks to a digital media employee, sparking widespread criticism across social media platforms.

Suneel Munj is the co-founder and director of PakWheels, Pakistan’s premier automotive marketplace. He has garnered significant recognition across South Asia for his signature “Owner’s Review” and expert car-review video series, which are closely followed by car buyers for their insights and verdicts. Beyond his media presence, Munj also owns showrooms and workshops across Pakistan, solidifying his influence in the automotive sector. His public persona, however, often veers into viral controversies, such as the backlash he faced during the FIFA World Cup for selling footballs signed by himself.

In the alleged leaked call, Suneel Munj reportedly demanded $10,000 for an appearance on a podcast. The conversation escalated when he allegedly inquired about the digital media employee’s salary, mocking her with comments such as, “If you think you can afford ten thousand dollars, call me. Otherwise, call Fawad Khan if you think he is your cousin. First learn some manners before calling. What’s your pay? If I told you that your face is worth 60 thousand, how would you feel? If you can’t pay, change your CEO. Don’t waste my time here.” The recording quickly circulated, drawing sharp reactions from the online community.

Social media users were quick to condemn Suneel Munj’s alleged behavior. Comments ranged from users questioning his self-importance to humorous comparisons, with one user remarking that he was demanding $10,000 “as if he is Sunny Leone, not Suneel Munj.” Others jokingly suggested that his podcast eventually happened for free due to the leaked call, while some called for the full recording to be released, speculating that the employee might have said something provocative. What are your thoughts on this unfolding controversy?
