One of them is Pakistan’s first female MMA athlete Anita Karim. Hailing from Hunza, Anita Karim is a rising MMA star in Pakistan who has shown significant progress by winning two gold medals at last year’s Pakistan Grappling Challenge (PGC).
Now she has secured her first victory at One Warrior series, one of the most celebrated championships in MMA sports. She was pit against Indonesia’s Gita Suharsono.

Pakistan’s first female mma athlete; Anita Karim won her second professional mma fight against Gita Suharsono from Indonesia via a Unanimous Decision. The event took place today in Singapore under the banner of world’s leading mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship’s chapter ONE Warrior Series. Two athletes from Fight Fortress MMA participated in the event. The opening fight of the event was TFF’s Faizan ‘The Grenade’ Khan vs Saharat Khongsawat (Thailand). After securing a takedown and landing an elbow Faizan dislocated his shoulder which resulted in him being unable to continue the fight. His opponent was declared the winner. Anita Karim was fighting a larger and more trained MMA fighter. But her passion for the sport couldn’t be stopped by her opponent. She is now going to move up the ladder and will have a chance at the global stage of One Championship.
Anita has fought international opponents before but this is her first major victory at an international event. We hope that she will continue winning and make Pakistan proud.

Anita Karim is an extremely talented fighter who has never had a chance to fight an international opponent. But at the domestic level, Anita is unstoppable.
Anita, age 21, weighs 115 LBS and currently has no record of win/losses. This will be her first ever match on an international platform.
The MMA athlete trains almost all day when she gets time from giving her MMA classes.
