Cannes 2019: Pakistani Short Film To Be featured In Film Festival

Last week, it was revealed that the talented Pakistani actor Shamoon Abbasi is all set to make his debut at the Cannes film festival and we couldn’t be more proud.

The veteran Pakistani actor Shamoon Abbasi is all set to grace the red carpet of the biggest film festival for the screening of his movie ‘Durj’.

Now, it has been said that Pakistani short film ‘Rani’ will also be screened at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival.

The news was first shared by GrayScale Production through their social media accounts with the caption:

Rani has been selected by the London Film Academy to be part of a special showcase of films, at the Short Film Corner of the Festival de Cannes! The Short Film Corner runs from May 20th till May 25th, at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.


Helmed and penned by Hammad Rizvi, the short film features a transgender model Kami Sid from Pakistan who has already received a lot of appreciation because of the acting skills.
