
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned Bol TV's "Tick Tock Show" for airing inappropriate and Indian music-based content. A press release issued by PEMRA said that the audience was receiving numerous complaints on the content of the program from Pakistan Citizen Portal and PEMRA's social media accounts.

According to the press release, PEMRA had issued a show cause notice to the channel for airing videos / content based on highly inappropriate, obscene and Indian music in the program. Make it in line with Pakistani values otherwise action will be taken under PEMRA Ordinance.
Despite PEMRA's warning, Bol Entertainment continued to broadcast inappropriate content, prompting the Authority to ban the airing of talk shows under Section 27 of the PEMRA Ordinance.
Earlier re-broadcast of ARY Digital drama "Jalan" and Hum TV drama Ishqiya were banned for airing content contrary to social and religious values.

The PEMRA press release said that under Section 27 of the PEMRA Ordinance, the broadcasting of both dramas has been banned repeatedly for broadcasting material contrary to social and religious values. Other channels will not be able to broadcast on ARY Zindagi and Hum Star.
PEMRA had directed all TV channels, media houses and production houses to review the content of dramas and assured that if the content of a drama was against the values of the country and contrary to the expectations of the viewers, it would be banned without any warning.
