Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi who accused Singer Ali Zafar of sexual harassment a few years back is facing a jail term up to three years according to a report of Mail Online.
In 2018 the #MeToo movement took over the world. Many women reached out to share their evidence of harassments. Many men, from filmmakers to actors to singers, have been accused of sexual harassments. According to media reports, Meesha Ali Zafar was accused of sexual harassment by Meesha Shafi.
Now as per a recent update in Daily Mail, Meesha will face three years of jail for ‘criminal defamation’ over damage to the actor’s reputation. This isn’t all. Eight other people who had accused Ali online have also been charged for the same. Meanwhile, Meesha has called the legal system rigid and stated, “Which woman has got justice in a case of this nature and at what cost?”
