The Capital Development Authority intends to build a world-class cricket stadium and a five-star hotel in the Margalla Range foothills.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said during a news conference on Tuesday that the CDA has been granted authority to commence the contracting process for the stadium and the world-class hotel.

“I have asked CDA Chairman Aamir Ahmed Ali to initiate the process of constructing a stadium and hotel in the capital to world standards.” According to the interior ministry, the tendering process would start shortly.
