Oppo has now revealed a fourth phone with the “A55” model design – the Oppo A55s 5G. It’s unclear what the “s” stands for because the phone is practically identical to the Oppo A55 5G. It’s important to note that this is not the same as the Oppo A55s 5G, which was introduced in selected Asian markets. A 4G model, the Oppo A55, is also available.
Oppo A55s 5G offers Fast Charging
The 6.5-inch IPS LCD display on the OPPO A55s 5G has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The bezel-less waterdrop notch display on the smartphone features a pixel density of 270ppi and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
On the back of the smartphone, there are three cameras: a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera, a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. The back camera features LED flash, autofocus, auto flash, exposure correction, digital zoom, touch to focus, face detection, HDR mode, ISO adjustment, continuous shooting, and more. On the front of the device, there is a single 8MP f/2.0 Primary Camera that can capture decent selfies.
For connectivity, the device has dual-band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS (BeiDou, GALILEO, QZSS, GLONASS), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. A fingerprint sensor, a compass, an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, and a gyroscope are all located on the side. The OPPO A55 5Gs comes with 128GB of internal memory that can be expanded to 1TB.
The battery capacity is the same in all three models (5,000 mAh), however only the 5G devices offer fast charging (the 4G one charges at 18W). The retail packaging includes a charger, a USB A to C cable, a protective case, and a few other things.
