The world’s most prestigious film award ‘Oscars’ announced the nominations for the 95th Annual Awards Festival, in which the Pakistani film ‘Joyland’ failed to make a place. ‘Joyland’ was included in the List of 15 of the World’s 100 Best Films in the International Films Category by the Oscars, and it was believed that it would also be nominated for the last phase, but it did not happen.
According to the Oscar nominations, films from five countries of the world were nominated for best global film and the Pakistani film ‘Joyland’ failed to make it to the list of nominations.
Now the best global film competition will be between films from Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and Ireland, and it is believed that the German movie will take the ‘All Quiet’ award. The Oscar Academy announced a total of 23 category nominations on January 25.
At the annual 95th awards, the highest number of 11 nominations were received by the science fiction film ‘Everything Everywhere All in One’, while the German film ‘All Quiet’ received 10 nominations in second place, which is believed to be the best international film award.
Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, Brendan Fraser, Paul Meskel and Bill Nye received nominations in the best actor category. In contrast, in the best actress category, Kate Blanchett, Anna D’Armas, Andrea Resbrough, Mashal Williams and Mashal Yahweh received nominations.
The documentary short film category, ‘Stranger at the Gate’, produced by Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, has also been nominated. Malala Yousafzai recently became the executive producer of ‘Stranger at the Gate’; before that, she also became the executive producer of ‘Joyland’, but her Pakistani film could not get a nomination.
