During a recent interaction with a reporter, Zafar Abbas playfully highlighted a stark difference between the two major cities. He quipped, “The major difference between Lahore and Karachi is that here you can see around 150 iPhones; if this had happened in Karachi, all the iPhones would have been snatched by now.” He also pointed out the remarkable absence of potholes, noting, “Another thing I noticed is that I didn’t see any roadside digs. I asked my friend in Lahore what they call a ‘dig’ or ‘gadda,’ and he said they call it ‘toya.’ So, I haven’t witnessed any ‘toya’ here in Lahore over 300 kilometres.”

These observations have naturally ignited a flurry of reactions across social media platforms. While many netizens applauded his frank and amusing remarks, some expressed a more cynical view, suggesting his statements might be influenced by his philanthropic endeavors. Regardless of the varied opinions, Zafar Abbas‘s comments have certainly added a new flavour to the ongoing friendly rivalry between the two vibrant cities.
