McDonald’s is Finally Ready to Launch its Operations in Abbottabad on 14 December

McDonald’s first launched its operations in Pakistan in September 1998 in Lahore. Its launch was met with an unprecedented craze from the people of Lahore – it was the best fast food chain of the world, finally in Pakistan.
Over the past 20 years, McDonald’s have opened multiple branches in nearly all of the major cities of Pakistan. But it was missing Abbottabad, one of Pakistan’s most popular hill station attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.
Naturally, it was surprising to see such a world famous chain of fast food restaurants wasn’t open here.
But things are about to change. McDonald’s is finally ready to launch its operations in Abbottabad. The first branch will go live on 14th of December and fans of the fast-food chain can’t contain their excitement.

McDonald’s Location angered few

McDonald’s first branch is being opened on Mansehra Road. However, people are not happy that the building was constructed under a beautiful forest and beside mountains.
To enact the building, some part of the mountain and several trees were taken down. This has angered a few people in the area and they are protesting against McDonald’s on social media.
This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has come under fire due to its location. In Islamabad, McDonald’s faced a trial for opening a branch inside Fatima Jinnah Park where commercial buildings are not allowed to operate.
