Salahuddin Ayubi, a joint Pakistan-Turkish series, has selected four Pakistani actors following auditions. In October, Lahore and Karachi hosted auditions for the show. More than 6,000 people applied for the role of an Islamic warrior, but only 62 people were chosen for the show.
Lahore had only 18 candidates selected, whereas Karachi had 42 candidates selected. For any actor, playing Salahuddin Ayubi in Emre Konuk’s Akli Films will be a difficult task because of Ayubi’s influence. In January and March of 2022, Turkey will host the next round of auditions. Adnan Jilani, Farhan Agha, Ushna Shah, and Ayesha Omar are the four Pakistani actors chosen for this project.
Islam’s most revered general, Salahuddin al-Ayubi, will be the subject of a new television series produced in collaboration by Pakistan and Turkey.
