Pakistani singer Shae Gill, who is 23 and hails from Lahore, shot to recognition after she sang Pasoori, a duet with Ali Sethi, on Coke Studio. During her time in FC college, Shae Gill said that she and a fellow student began their musical adventure together. She admitted that at first she only sang for fun, but now it’s her full-time job.
She recently gave a BBC interview in which she discussed her quick rise to fame, her future aspirations, and her initial emotion after her song went viral and was embraced by the world.
It’s a big deal that her song gained a lot of attention, she said, and now she’s even more concerned about her next project because she wants it to live up to the song’s standards.
Her best buddy gave her the idea to start singing, and she started singing for Instagram after that. As a result of this, Xulfi approached Shreya and said that he wanted to work with her on a song, which she accepted and thanked him for that.
At first, she wasn’t too excited because she wasn’t sure if it was real, but as soon as she found out that she would be singing with Ali Sethi, she became giddy with excitement, said Shreya.
After watching “Pasoori” with a friend, the singer decided to follow her singing profession because she wanted to experience the same moment with her best friend again and again. You may watch the video here.
Shae Gill stated that she has lofty goals and that she plans to continue singing in the future. After the release of her single, she did a shoot for Hussain Rehar.
